Historika take 1st and 2nd

In The Porsche Racing Pedigree Category

Salon Prive is one of Europe’s leading concours d’elegence events and is held in the sublime gardens at Blenheim Palace.

This was the first time we’d attended the event at all and we were bringing our own 911ST that we have just finished restoring (the week before the event) . Also attending was a customers 3.0RS which again has just come out of a nut and bolt restoration to it’s 1976 livery.

We were competing in the Porsche Racing Pedigree class against some pretty fierce competition. Our personal favourite being a Porsche Factory owned ex Le Mans 924 GTP that has been restored by a number of Porsche Classic Centre’s here in the UK. There was also a 1973 Carrera RS that was modified into a club racer by the famous Kremer brothers in 1977 and restored by Canepa in the USA.

We were quietly confident that at least one of our cars would pick up a prize but with this caliber of cars who knew. We talked the judges through the cars, history, restoration process and period details and then awaited the results.

We were extremely delighted to return to the cars to find that not only one of the cars but both of our restoration has taken prizes. The 3.0RS took 1st place and the 911ST took 2nd. An amazing result for us, at a truly fantastic event.

If you have a rare Porsche that needs restoring don’t settle for second best come and speak to us and we’ll restore your car to the exacting standard that it deserves.
