1966 Porsche 911

This 1966 SWB Porsche 911 has great provenance from ANDIAL as well as Magnus Walker. The current owner has been enjoying the car in its current state for the past 2 years and now wants to put his own stamp on the car.

The brief was to attend to some minor rust isseus (as to be expected from a car of this age) and then rebuild the car as a Sorts Purpose outlaw 911 to be enjoyed on the road and also at the track. Inspired by the customer/privater cars of the mid/late 60’s that were driven to the track, raced and then driven home.

We took the car back to bare metal whilst we dealt with the rust, this way we knew that there weren’t any other areas of rust or poor repairs that were unaware of. Better safer than sorry in our opinion as you would not want to spend all this time and money on a project only to have something come back to haunt you. In doing so we found that the car was in remarkably good condition and that there wasn’t anything that we weren’t aware of.

The car was then painted in Slate Grey with black stripes down the bonnet. Whilst this was being done the the suspension and brakes were stripped, restored and set up for fast road and track use. The engine was performing well and gave great results on it’s compression test so we restored the Webers, then serviced and also cosmetically overhauled the engine. Fianlly we will be fitted a new period correct SWB carpet set in the interior. As well as all this we added lots of lovely details throughout many bespoke for this car. Overall this was an throughly enjoyable project and one that we are increadably proud to have been a part of.

We are always happy to discuss building your dream project so feel free to get in touch. We have number of donor cars available and are happy to help you source a car if needed.
