Completion of Metal Work and Paint

on a 1965 Porsche 911

We have just completed the metal work and paint on this very early 1965 Porsche 911

The car was originally supplied to Porsche Centre Brumos the famous racing dealer in Jacksonville America in Early 1965 and is from the very first series of 250 cars built in the first 3 months of that year (these early cars retained many of the unusual idiosyncrasies from the 1964 901’s).

This is a totally unmolested survivor still having its period correct floors, early 64/65 side sills, doors, original front & rear wings and 1st year of production front bonnet slam panel. This car is not one to be confused with the many cars that have been rebuilt with the much later incorrect body panels.

We removed the paint and underseal by hand before the shell and panels were gently soda blasted. The condition of the car was amazing with only very minor areas needing any attention. The metal restoration was carried out on one of our factory Celette body jigs to check all the suspension pick up points were all correctly aligned, any tiny rust areas were repaired, chassis strengthening carried out and our custom made FIA approved roll cage installed. Then the car was then was prepped for paint in the most diligent way, with all trim, frames, lights, panels dry fitted to ensure the finish and panel gaps were second to none.
